Shadow barks :  I’m home again

After spending close 8 month in USA he travelled home with me last SundayHe sired 2 litters and got his American Champion title, fun and work so close together Upon arriving we celebrated his grandmother Amber’s 9th birthday and had a great reunion with the girls at Munroc Farm

On Saturday April 13th we wend up to Ohio to spectate a  FT organized by the Vizla club and take the opportunity to hug and kiss young master Duncan SOMERLED GLEN REX AT MUNROC coowned by Frank Waters, Rhonda Cornum and myself

Travelling down to Chattanooga for the GSCA National 2013 accompanied by friends humans and 4legged we had great fun throughout the days

Tuesday 16th of April, the dog classes, Patrick MUNROC EXPATRIATE handled by Cheryl Mika

In open class went 4th  for being only a week in USA what a blast

Later that day Patrick and his Sis Destiny where handled by Rhonda in BRACE getting a 3rd place but won the most of the hearts around the ring and gave a number of giggles to the audience

Wednesday 17th of April, bitch and BOB classes

Rhonda handled  Kestral TARTANA PORCI CREEK KESTRAL JH in field trial class and got second

At this time Shadow and myself where already dressed up, brushed, blow dry ….. we just looked like winners  and off we went into Best of Breed, entry  59 Champions/Grand Champions. Shadow was in the last group judged and YES we did it. We made the cut under the last 8 ! a German owned Scotsman, a Champion in USA only since 2 weeks. I could not be more pleased by him

Destiny CH Munroc Destiantion Success  also in BOB handled by Diane Welling,  showing off her socks as well.

Our show team was cheered a)  from Princess Libby

MUNROC  LYBSTER TO PARIS her DNA was to late

to show here in 4-6 month . She and her Daddy Shadow

shown hereunder

And b) from Shadow’s fiancé Piper (SETANTA GHOST OF BYDAND) a very lovely couple. Puppies  hoped for  mid of June 2013

Thusday 18th of April 22, 2013

Of we went to the Hunt Test  held a Dunlap, TN just a wee bit north of Chattanooga

Shadow was in the first junior brace and got a redhead as by dog as his partner was in heat. He did me proud with his style but unfortunately time runs short and he did not find a bird, both judges gave me kind compliments about him. The day was unbelievable hot for that time of the year at least between 25 to 30 C. A number of dogs later in the day has had to face a lot of heat during their runs. Our little Destiny did well but got not qualified.

Where to start as so many things happened recently in Shadow’s life

What started as a fun trip to Shadow’s  Scottish roots continued with flying upon the big sea to end up at Rhonda’s farm in Kentucky. Shadow: gosh I’m sure they do not want me to become aFarm dog – guess I might end up in US show rings shortly . Some special coat treatments started already immy after I arrived. Watch out for me  ….

Shadow was not travelling alone as 4 of his half siblings from Mum’s Heather second litter joined him.Somerled Saint Kilda only upto Germany and  Millie, Cooper and TRex flying in the crate next to Shadow to New York JFK. From there we ride down to Kentucky and only after a short stay thepuppies went to their final homes, Cooper to Michigan, Millie to Minnesota and TRex still at the farm.

Scotland …. So many great hours, so much fun for Shadow

Thank you Eileen and Sheila to make it a stay we always will remember

More pics from this special  journey

……. About 9.400 KM car rides and another  12.050 KM in airplanes …….

CRUFTS 2012

What a great journey we had. Welcome our US guest Rhonda Cornum already in Germany and get her to grooming job on our four legged exhibitors.

Spending already the day before Gundog day at the NEC for all the of course necessary shopping’s and meet up with friends from different places in  the world. For me it was a thrill to take my friends from Zimbabwe for their first visit to Crufts, entered into Hall 1 was as far as they came, there was their favourite breed in the ring – German Middle Spitz.

As Rhonda was holding speeches at Downing Street the same day we got a very late night with a lot of giggles and glasses of red wine.

We had Glen for Veteran class means the early starting class. Pick up of Mr. Dyde at 06:00 worked perfect, so at 07:00 we entered Hall 1. No traffic jams even so it was a Friday morning.

Make it short – we had entered 4 dogs and take home with us 3 rosettes, what lovely day.

Thank you to the judge Miss J. Osborn.

Amber, CAC Essen Jan 08, 2012

Nationale Dog Show Kassel Dec 10th, 2011

judge Mr. Rolf Blessing, DE

Shadow out of intermediate class (similar yearling in UK) went Exc1, another ticket toward his German Champion and the CAC for the BOB.

Also competing against his Grandma Amber ... Ladies First .. Amber went BOB

Shadow’s critique from Setter & Pointer, Coventry :

Dt.Ju.Ch. Some Rock A Fella. Appealing expression with dark eyes but head still needs to finish, good forehand assembly showing ample forechest, deep and well ribbed up, good bend of stifle but would like more width of thigh, covers the ground well on a good stride, rather proud of his tail

Shadow has his official hip score- 3/5=8

05.11.2011 First in Yearling at Setter and Pointer Club Championship Show at Coventry in England.

Shadow is leaving the junior classes today. He is  18 months old.

Sure we will have loads of fun in the coming years in the fields

as well as in the show rings
